Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This policy explains which cookies Train Climb uses, in line with Law no. 506/2004 and the GDPR.
1. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are needed to sign you in and to protect forms against misuse. The site cannot work without them, so they do not need your consent.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
train_climb_session | Keeps you signed in during your visit. | 120 minutes of inactivity |
XSRF-TOKEN | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | Same as the session |
remember_web_… | Keeps you signed in between visits, only if you tick "Remember me". | Up to 400 days, or until you sign out |
2. Local storage
We store one value in your browser's local storage (cookie-notice-ok) so the cookie notice does not appear again after you close it. It contains no personal data.
3. Third-party resources
Fonts, icons, scripts and style files are served from our own servers. The one exception is the TinyMCE text editor inside the app, which is loaded from its provider (Tiny Technologies): your browser sends your IP address to them so they can deliver it. It is not used to set advertising or tracking cookies.
4. Analytics and marketing cookies
We use no marketing cookies. Visits to the public site (home, pricing, blog, tools, resources) are counted on our own server without cookies: see "Website statistics" in the Privacy Policy. Inside the app we may use Google Analytics to see which pages are used. It only runs after you choose "Allow analytics" in the notice the app shows you; until then, and if you choose "No thanks", no analytics script is loaded. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the app menu.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
tc_analytics | Train Climb | Remembers whether you allowed analytics | 1 year |
_ga, _ga_* | Counts visits and page views (only after you allow analytics; IP addresses are anonymised) | Up to 2 years |
5. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in.
